Within my current work i find myself looking at the world in a fragmented state. I find culture a great source of inspiration for my work. Using this to look at how I see the world and how others see it. I am interested in the writings of Carl Jung to try and gain a greater understanding of how the mind works. Artist that inspire me are the work of the Abstract Expressionists such as Mark Rothko and Barnett Newman, but find myself becoming more interested in the work of the Chapman’s as the idea of re-appropriation starts to feature in my work more. Within the way I work, I feel that that it is ever change which I embrace as the Greek philosopher Heraclitus wrote

“There is nothing permanent except change. The only constant is change. Change is the only constant. Change alone is unchanging.”
